I am trying to bring out 54mm plastic figures of this period but believe me its a long haul dealing with the Chinese and so I'm going to try and do the thing British. That will mean creating special moulds that are not exactly productive as in millions of figures per second . I have been talking to a scientist who says that producing plastic figures should be no problem except one, according to him you can only produce one at a time and no more than six from each mould, but the good news is that a mould like this is easy to set up. Below are some touristy card models that could be adapted for our period. They are on sale via the Internet. the only firm that did 2nd empire was Mokarex but you could use the types they made as guides for your conversions.
